WHAT IS “THE ABCs OF FINANCE” ABOUT?

In the current business world, fraught with financial difficulties, a credit crunch, and reduced margins, economic/financial management has become a critical aspect for any company.

Through this programme entrepreneurs and executives outside the Finance area will learn the fundamental economic/financial concepts, not only to be able to manage day to day, but also to design strategies and make the best decisions.

OBJECTIVES

The ABCs of Finance aims to help students:

  • Improve and update their economic/financial knowledge, with a view to decision-making.
  • Understand, analyse and diagnose the situation of companies based on their accounting and financial information.
  • Understand the criteria for financial planning and budgeting.
  • Evaluate investment projects.
  • Establish action plans with a solid economic/financial foundation.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The ABCs of Finance is aimed at businesspeople, directors, managers and heads of business units lacking an educational background in Finance, but who need to use and understand economic and financial information to generate added value through their professional activity and across their organisations.

Attendance

To obtain a diploma students must attend at least 80% of the classes and successfully complete and present the end-of-course case study.

EDEM EXECUTIVE MBA

This programme forms part of the EDEM Executive MBA, a degree that can be obtained by those who complete the different programmes comprising it within a 5-year period.

LOCATION

The course will be held at the EDEM’s facilities, located at the Marina de València (Muelle de la Aduana s/n).

WHEN

From February 8 to May 24, 2019. 15 sessions of 5 hours each (75 hours). Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with an hour and a half reserved for the lunch-talk with the teachers. About 30 hours of work outside the classroom is also required.

TUITION

The price of the course is €3,750, which must be paid one week before it begins, at the latest.
The lunches/talks and everything else related to the course is included.
