WHAT IS THE ABCs OF STRATEGY ABOUT?

The current business landscape is strongly impacted by globalisation and a changing world. In this context, the definition and implementation of an adequate strategy, with a solid business model, are decisive factors for companies to be sustainable and generate value on a continuous basis.

The classes will be taught by businesspeople and executives who have handled significant change and growth processes through different strategies, and who have implemented successful business models.

Of particular importance in the ABCs of Strategy are the workshops to develop the participants’ management skills, sessions imparted by experienced specialists.

We are convinced that this programme, designed based on the needs conveyed to us by companies and executives in our area, will meet the participants’ expectations.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of The ABCs of Strategy are:

  • To equip students with the tools to implement strategic management processes at their companies.
  • To give students a comprehensive and up-to-date look at real business situations, aligning executive activity with the mission of the company and its objectives.
  • To provide students with the executives skills necessary to manage the growth and business direction of their organisations.

The course will allow students to acquire ideas, learn strategies and identify the keys to deploying a business model based on productive work, effort and leadership.

METHODOLOGY

The programme is structured into three large blocks:

  • The development of the strategic management process in different scenarios, and the executive’s role.
  • Learn about the importance of having a business model oriented to the development of a company’s five components. Complemented by workshops that will help the participants to achieve this.
  • Sessions for the development of executives’ personal competences: the leader/coach, emotional management for business, the development of an innovative culture, change management, and executives who lead.

Eminently practical, combining real experiences with participative talks, round tables and workshops.

Attendance and diploma:

In order to obtain the diploma students must attend at least 80% of the classes, and complete the end-of-course project.

EXECUTIVE MBA EDEM

This programme forms part of the EDEM Executive MBA, a degree that can be obtained by those who complete the different programmes comprising it within a 5-year period.

LOCATION

The course will be held at the EDEM’s facilities, located at the Marina de València (Muelle de la Aduana s/n).

WHEN

From September to November, 2019

8 sessions of 9 h each (72 hours). Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with an hour and a half reserved for lunch/talks with the teachers. In addition, some 20 hours of work outside the classroom is also required.

TUITION

The price of the course is €3,600, which must be paid one week before it begins, at the latest.
The lunches/talks and everything else related to the course is included.

FACULTY

The teachers are experienced businesspeople, executives and specialists in their respective subjects who will share with students the keys to competitive business management and facilitate the development and improvement of their executive skills.
