The Art of Leading

This program aims to develop participants’ leadership skills.

The program encourages self-reflection through questionnaires, individual exercises, training videos and action-oriented techniques.

The program is aimed at managers, middle managers and anyone with a high potential for growth who manages or will need to manage and lead people in their companies.

The objectives of the program are to develop participants’ leadership skills, through:

  • Understanding the keys to self-motivation and self-leadership and applying them consciously and consistently.
  • Identifying principles for leading and managing a diverse, effective and successful team.
  • Learning the keys to a sustainable way to unite the various team members and commit them to its future development.
The course presenter will start with a brief introduction to each theme.

The course promotes self-reflection through questionnaires, individual exercises, training videos and action-oriented techniques.

It also promotes continuing small group and whole class discussions.

In the last session, each participant will prepare a brief personal action plan to put into practice the essence of what they have learned during the program.

Born in Berlin, he has a diploma in Business Science and has also completed graduate studies in International Marketing at Cambridge and in the Top Management Program of Wharton in Philadelphia.

After working in several multinationals in Germany, Australia and the US, he moved to Spain in 1998 and has developed the rest of his professional career there. He has worked as a top executive in sectors such as Schering, AgrEvo, Inditex and Dole Food, and has been member of executive committees and boards of directors of several Spanish and Swedish companies.

He is a founding partner of Evocalia, and since 2002 has worked as a coach to many high level executives in Spain and other European countries. He is certified as a senior professional coach by AECOP (Spanish Association for Professional Coaching).

He teaches the “15×15 Course: Fifteen days with fifteen business leaders”, and The ABC of People Management at EDEM.

Learn the keys to forming and leading a diverse, efficient and successful team. Content:

  • The art of communication
  • The keys to human motivation
  • The challenge of optimal delegation

MODULE 3: COHESION: Uniting the team

Learn the keys to uniting a team in a way that is sustainable for each member and commits them to continuing development. Content:

  • Effective meetings vs. mediocre meetings
  • Achieving sensible objectives
  • Building shared values
  • Feedback as a tool for development
  • How to evolve as a leader
